Hey decided to buy a few DLC's and get back into EUIV but upon reinstalling the game it just flat out doesn't launch, the process is created but is immediately noted as not responding in task manager(either from the launcher or the standalone exe) just to list a few things that I have tried (all to no avail)
I have attached the dxdiag file as well as the system log file, just a note though the launcher has a small notification that it failed to update, I do no know if that has any bearing on this.
Giant edit, so just tried borderless fullscreen and it worked so seems my issue is getting it to run in fullscreen mode
Further edit: navigating to the euiv exe and then going to the compatibility tab and ticking full screen optimisations allows the game to be run in full screen mode, leaving this post up so if people have similar issues they can fix it
- tried the clean install, same result
- tried the process outlined here: "launcher-setup-ends-prematurely.1253457" (cant put full link spam filter stops me)
- tried repairing all the redistributables
- tried both previous patches they get a smidge further in that the game music begins and the cursor changes to the EUIV busy cursor but then the program hangs
- tried the whole adding the exceptions to the ransomware, same result
- tried running the game without windows defender running at all
- tried running both steam and the game as admin
