If the game for example has 2-3 layers of drm it doesn't matter what i7 you have, it will hit 100%.

Around the time they started to make expansions with paywalled patches. This ended when they started to use the current dlc model.

Was that actually DRM, though? All the game files were fully accessible, just like now, and you could edit most things, just like now.
The patch only working for a certain game level isn't DRM afaik, but just due to requiring expansion features to work.

Im not sure exactly what would be considered to be DRM and what is not. Paradox have not used anything like Always online DRM or such as far as I know.

If it helps anyone, my home computer with a fairly weak CPU runs the game just fine with the following specs:

GeForce GTX 1070
Intel Core i5-2500 @ 3.30 GHz
8 GB RAM

Very helpful, thanks! I have the i5 4460. It and the i5 2500 seem near identical in performance on userbenchmark. That's quite good to hear as I think I am at least a year away from upgrading my CPU, maybe two.

EU1 and EU2 until patch 1.04 or something like that did.

i5 2500k is pretty old now, but will be enough for the game; i5 4460 is a bit faster, so no worries there

Laptops are tricky because of their GPU's being 'mobile' versions, so very much not comparable to their desktop counter parts.

This game requires a good CPU + GPU to run well, but definitely playable on lower end hardware, but anything below minimum specs is not something we can promise at the current time.

I really wonder if my 6600k@4Ghz on all Cores with a GTX 970 could run the game.

But seriously, I am atleast curious how the speed in the lategame is. There is no Paradox Game where I don't wish the game could tick faster.

No it's an HP Omen. Bought it two months ago, most games run very well, so I don't think there will be a problem with Imperator, but I'm just curious.

I don't think your GPU meets the minimum requirements - whether that affects it much idk
CPU + Mem alright.
