I know that my cpu is slower than recomended, but its above the minimum. Would that mean that it should run fine, maybe not at highest speed but playable atleast?

Pretty sure speed 5 (highest) is simply to run the game as fast as possible so how quickly it will run at that setting depend on your system.

I know that the GPU is very low end, but will the cpu be enough to carry it some what? I've been playing stellaris and Hearts of Iron IV on medium with only some performance issues in large battles (stellaris) and the obvious end game lag.

Not worried at all about RAM and processor but slightly worried about the graphics card. I'm not really concerned about how smooth it runs but more so how fast it runs (eu4 is currently as slow at 5 speed as ck2 is at 2, which is stopping me from playing the game).

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to run the game. If you'll run it "fine" is another matter, of course. I'd guess you might have to pull down the graphics right down to the bottom, and disable any fluff because these sort of games are okey to play the first few hours but get increasingly intense as you progress through the game.

I have a pretty weak Lenovo PC with a very old version of Intel installed and up to EU4 every game runs fine even on very high graphics. HOI IV runs a bit slower but the trick with Paradox games is to turn off trees and if needed some moving objects too (for example those decorative windmills and moose you could see in EUIV).

Trees generally tend to be the problem in most games for older/weak PCs, with some RTS games being unplayable once you move over a forest. Luckily for PDX games turning them off won't be that big of a deal.

According to canyourunit, my specs don't even meet the minimum requirements, for my graphics card is too poor (everything else being okay, although below their "recommended" standards). Now, it did say the same thing about HOI4, which nevertheless runs fairly smoothly until about 1942-43. Are any of you able to tell if getting Imperator: Rome on my current computer is worth it?

Should I upgrade my Gtx 750 ti to GTX 1060? (got an i7-4790k so I guess CPU shouldn't be a problem).

I'm wondering if that would boost my late game HOI4 and Stellaris performance.. I only play PDX games so can anyone answer me if its worth upgrading right now? (for late game performance + Imperator), early-mid game is fine.

I used the canirunit.com site. And I'm not sure I trust it. It says my graphics driver is 97 months out of date. But I updated it to the newest this year.

i7-3770k, 1060 GTX 6GB, 16GB ram, 250GB SSD. The whole fuss with ivy and sandy bridge, don't believe the hype, i have both and the difference is not enormous, certainly not enough to buy a new one. If the game for example has 2-3 layers of drm it doesn't matter what i7 you have, it will hit 100%.

I tested my, frankly mediocre, PC with the canIrunit application and it told me I could run the game in both minimum and recommended requirement. That's good enough for me!

The only part I'm slightly concerned about it my CPU, an i7-4770k at stock speeds.

RAM and GPU wise I'm well comfortable on with 32gigs (gross overkill for just about everything, I know) and a gtx 1080.

Even late game? I suspect many are worried about the late game performance.
