Will your system run?

Hey y'all! Now that the release date has been posted and we can finally prepare to march our legions, I thought It would be a good idea to start a thread where people who are unsure about their systems can come ask about their systems and people can answer their questions. For reference, here are the official system requirements (as found on steam)

Minimum

• OS: Windows® 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1
  
• Processor: Intel® iCore™ i3-2105 or AMD® FX-8120
  
• Memory: 4 GB RAM
  
• Graphics: Nvidia® GeForce™ GTX 570 or equivalent AMD Graphics Card

Recommended

Now if someone could kindly answer my question
I used to have an msi gaming laptop that was a dream for me, however motherboard failure ensued and long story short I now have a lenovo business laptop. I'm an avid paradox fan and have every grand strategy they game they have released along with all the DLCs. (I just love you guys). Here are my specs

Windows 10 64 bit
12GB ram
Intel i7-8550u 4 core 1.8GHz
Intel UHD 620 Graphics.

Now I know my graphics are the screamingly obvious weak link here. But as a student with very limited resources this is what I have until I get a job and save up for something better. Now I know Paradox games are more cpu heavy and I have been running every game so far fine (have not tried HOI IV yet). So will you guys think I will be able to run this? For reference here are the settings I run stellaris with (and have no playability issues until late game lag even on large galaxies)

bloom low
lens flare on

so tell me my fellow praetorians, do you think I should be fine running Imperator?

Sound like CPU will be fine as the game have been said to be more graphic Heavy than previous paradox games but not much said about the CPU so if you can run previous games I expect you can probably run Imperator.

Graphics will be the problem but they have said you can turn it down but how much that will help is a good question.

Hmm yeah this is what I was thinking about, I would like to pre-order it to show my love and get some nice unit packs (why not), but hopefully as we get closer more info might become available. We'll see!

I don't know anything about hardware, it is simply a guess based on previous paradox games.

I've got a nagging feeling that any intergrated gpu will not cut the mustard. You might find unless you have a separate Nvidia/ATI card it wont even start. More and more games these days have fairly hefty demands to even run. I found to my cost with a little game called Domina; a veyr simple looking game that is *supposed* to support intergrated cards, but won't. Of course, there may be more too it than that, but I doubt it. Now that PDX are going 64bit with their titles this may cause even more issues with older hardware. Time will tell!

The 1050 is on the Nvidia Pascal architecture,the 960 is on the previous old Maxwell architecture.So i'd say the card are pretty similar in my opinion.

Not from what I can find, the information I have is that the I5-4690K is the superior CPU.

The 1050 is on the Nvidia Pascal architecture,the 960 is on the previous old Maxwell architecture.So i'd say the card are pretty similar in my opinion.

The 1050 TI is about the same as 960 while the regular 1050 is inferior as the second number in GTX card determine how strong they are while the first is their generation. So the 1050 is newever but no as powerful as the 960 but the gap is not big by any means.

How well do the paradox games run for you? The better they run the better Imperator: Rome will run.​

Now I wonder how my i7-4710HQ will do. Though as I can run the other current PDX games without problem I doubt I'll get any problems.
Otherwise I'll end up with egg on my face, as I already got the deluxe edition.

It is graphic card not CPU that is going to be the difference between Imperator and other paradox games. If your games run good right now they should run Imperator.

Ah, ok. My graphics card is below recommended (850m), though I'd expect I can run it without too much problem.

They have said they will allow you to turn of most of the graphics so you can probably play the game without issues.

Yeah I was expecting that to be the case, as that's the case for the current PDS games too. Albeit I actually can run them with full graphics without problem.
Now there is some slowdown, especially late game, but that's pretty normal afaik.
