I never thought there would be a Plant phenotype, at least at launch, given that is was in all caps and had no unique portraits. It looked very much like a default placeholder.
As to the DLC, you realize that this is a Paradox game, right? Well-crafted, affordable but ultimately optional DLC, along with content-packed free patches, is what they do, and I will continue to support them, since they are a fantastic developer who makes games that I really enjoy.

It's quite the assumption indeed, but I can certainly see a reason for making a difference.

All the other species, including mushrooms rely on digesting other species. A plant however can "eat" sunlight.

yes just sunlight

Seeing as how PLANT is not going to be part of the game at launch, I'm guessing it's going to be released sometime in the future. But is it going to be part of a DLC? How do you feel about this?
A) It was a dummy category, not "Ayy lmaos with leaves"
B) I feel the sort of worn-down, weary distaste I have been feeling since I bought CK2.
C) Although to go with the title of this thread, you're not FORCED to buy anything. You get 87 races with the vanilla edition. Even the most dedicated player is not going to play 87 full games of Stellaris, so it's not like you'll "run out of content", let alone "game will stop working" if you don't spend, spend, spend.

I wonder why a sceptical guy like you bought the most expensive pre order edition.
He makes threads like these daily.
It's called "concern trolling".
Trust me, I know a little about this am a good boy and I did not do anything.
