Will we eventually be able to change sector size in the future?

To me, the increase from 2 to 3 hyperlane radius doesn't seem like an improvement at all. We now get a big blob in the middle and a lot of tiny, 1 system sectors around it.
I don't care if it will cost us a fortune in influence or credits, if it can potentially make pops rebellious and governors turn against us, if we're allowed to only do it once every 10 years, if we have to change our government to an autocratic form; I just want to have SOME say in what system belongs to what sector. Not only to merge sectors, but also to split them, so that planets with similar populations or specialisations can be together in the same sector, and benefit from appropriate governors and settings.
Someday in the distant future, perhaps?

I still feel like the current sector system is just a patch till they can make the one they want. The original DD talked about sectors being set for everyone based on star clusters, but that obviously isn't what we got. Whether there was design issues that didn't mesh with their idea or they simply couldn't get it to work right and still get Megacorp out before the holidays, I dunno, but I don't believe this is in any way the last iteration for sectors in the near future.

You can change sector size for both the core sector and frontier ones in /common/sector_types. But yeah, I'd appreciate the option to edit sectors ourselves.

Judging by how everything is scripted I have a feeling they intend to do sector specialization or something like that at some point.
