As the title says.. for example King Arthur bought at Gamersgate, will it register on Steam? That would be really neat!

it will not be possible to register the Gamersgate version on Steam. If you want KAII on Steam you need to buy it there, or in boxed retail which is a Steam connected version as well.
Sometimes a game is Steam exclusive, but still sold through another portal like Gamersgate. Paradox has released games like that (Magicka for instance). Then the registration on Steam is automatic. This is not the case for KAII.

OK thanks for the quick answer. I just hope that for KA2 the patches will be released on all platforms at the same time? With King Arthur it always felt like Steam was top priority and the others.. "if we find some spare time maybe". I'm just scared that I buy KA2 on Gamersgate (which I prefer) and this happens again.
