I have to disagree, I've found Paradox tutorials really weird and shoddy - playing the HOI3 tute at a friends' house was just torture. Awful humour, ungrammatical English, sloppy writing, and, near as far as I could tell, nothing to explain warfare - you know, the important bit in a WW2 game. Played about six minutes' worth, never played it again. Paradox manuals tend to be great though, but they do tend to get outdated very fast given the relatively large changes patches and expansions make to the game.
It's a very simple choice for Paradox when it comes to V2. If you think they'll keep the game at a level of complexity that renders it totally uncompetitive commercially and unappealing to all but a few dozen hardcore Vicky players, you're in for quite the surprise. If you love Vicky - great - how about you stick to Vicky, and let the development of V2 continue along its merry path.
