Will there ever be a Commercial DLC in the style of Industries?

I feel like the one thing missing in this excellent game are more commercial options. How about a DLC that contains things like:

  • farmer's markets
  • high end shopping districts
  • suburban strip malls with generic big box stores
  • outdoor malls that you can configure
  • funky hipster shopping strips
  • low income areas with things like liquor stores, 99 cent stores, and used car lots
  • beach boardwalks
  • quaint small town main street-type stores
  • artist gallery rows
  • restaurant row
  • cyberpunk neon entertainment and shopping districts
Thank you Paradox for this wonderful game! :)

Yes please. It would be awesome to have big unique commericial businesses that tie into the factories...car dealerships for the car factory, grocery store for farms, furniture department store for wood etc.

I don't think it would be as big as Industries is, but I think it would be a great addition. Maybe tie it in to Offices (like choices to import/export) to make it worthwhile as well.

This is just what I thought, it would be so much nicer to plan your commercial districts instead of just zoning them. I always feel they need to much commercial zone anyways.
In my opinion this is long overdue. I find it even more necessary than the campus DLC :)

Yes, I agree with DanielaM. It would be nice to have retail area option inside the existing commercial zone.
Perhaps, it might be something like these photos that I got from online resources.

I agree!! There’s a lot of potential with commercial, especially since industry got a makeover.

Also, it would be fun if instead of making a new tie-in radio station to purchase, it’s a collection of new advertisements to add to all the stations. The theming would be perfect!

This is far fetched but I'll share anyway that this is OP's first post... Isn't it a Paradox employee secretly pitching the DLC they are working on?
