Just wondering if there has be any more colonial nations added, like South Africa or West Africa?

No, they have made it clear that they are not adding now CN zones, anywhere not just in Africa, Africa is an area for Trade companies

You could argue that South Africa should be colonial but West Africa doesn't make sense in this time line

They said they aren't splitting up the New World into more zones but with more provinces more nations should be able to grab up the amount of provinces needed to form CNs although we will see how it works out

I would say no, neither in Dev Diaries, nor in the feature video. Colonial nations in West Africa doesn't make sense, as Europeans only established trading posts there (hence trade companies are justified). About South Africa, it was during EUIV period mostly a governorate of the Dutch East India Company so keeping it at a trade company region also has merits.

You could of course argue that there is precedent with the Australian/NZ colonial region, so I'm not really sure about this one.

There is a convoluted way to make an African CN. It's probably not worth the time or effort, but you can do it for the lulz. It involves deliberately feeding a CN land in Africa and then knocking them off their home continent.

Have your CN in the new world buy some of your cores in Africa (they will, if they have sufficient range). Have them lose their cores in the new world, because you "lost a war".
