So, first I want to say a big thank you to the art team for already working hard to provide tons of character portraits, but I'll admit I'm a bit as to whether we'll see more "humanoid"-esque alien species such as the kind you would find in Star Wars or Star Trek. As it stands from what we've seen so far the portraits seem to go from a fairly average human to a ocelot-ewok-esque-thing in the mamallian group, and the other races don't seem to bear much of any resemblance to humans either.

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but will some of the species portraits follow a more human-esque template to look more like the Sith Species from Star Wars

Or the Cardassian's from Star Trek

Cardassians.jpg

Or even something only "vaguely" humanoid while still retaining an out and out alien look like the Turians from Mass Effect

Basically, I just want to know if any of the more alien species will retain some slight human resemblance.

While none are as human-like as the star wars sith picture you show (I think if thing that humanoid is included then it would be better included as a human sub-species) I would say that all pcitures that have been hown looks very human like (up-right with distinct heads).

the sith pureblood IIRC is one of the numerous near-human species in Star Wars, or Sub Species as you put it.

Isn't that species the result of humans intermingling with the original Sith species?

Humans intermingled with the Sith after a while to create hybrids that, due to the human population's birth rates, generally started to become more and more "human-like" because of their lineage, in The Old Republic it's said that something like 90% of all humans in the Sith Empire at the time of the game would have some trace amounts of Sith DNA. The picture you see above is a Sith Pureblood.
