I bought Rome as soon as it came out, played it some, realised the game sucked and went back to EUIII. I come to this side from time to time to check out if there is a new patch, and what's going on with the game. I figure that until an expansion comes out I won't bother with it, and will only buy the expansion if people on this forum say that it is exceptional and if it is cheap.
However, other than the occasional "this game is boring/what does Rome need/download my mod it makes the game fun... no, it really does" thread there is not much going on in this forum, posting seem slow, and there is no buzz or excitement about the game. Which got me wondering if EU: Rome will even get an expansion or will PI just patch it up a little, cut its losses, and move on. With no published sales figures it is impossible to know how much of a flop this title was. If it was as bad as it sometimes seems to me it doesn't really make sense to invest in this game. Granted Victoria got an excellent expansion, despite (what I heard) poor sales. I would love for my favourite era to get the treatment EUIII got with NA and IN, but I think it might not happen. What do you guys think?
