OK, if there is going to be a Croatian TAG in EU2 because they had certain independence and a parlament then Transylvania and Carniola (because they were part of Hungary too) should get their TAGs, because these territories had their own parlament too. Transylvania had the parlament of the "Three nations" (Hungarian, Szekely and German), while Carniola (Szlavonia) had a similar status as Croatia, but they were not the same. There were more peoples in Hungary: the Ruthenians, the Slovaks (Toths) and the Kuns. Let's not forget that there on the southern border there was a military "province" called Hatarorvidek that had a governer too, and was mainly populated by Serbs. They should get their TAG too.
I'm sure we can divinde the whole world into small parts. For example in Russia, Pskov and Novgorod should have their TAGs. Also there should be Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, and let's not forget that the Prussians weren't assimilated by the Germans until the 18th century.
OK, so anyway
I think discussing about this is stupid. There was no nationalism during that time, the Croats or any other people were not thinking about fighting for their nationalistic plans, the comon people rebeled because of high taxes, while the Croatian nobility incorporated itself into the Hungarian nobility and felt comfortably there (one of the greatest generals, Zrinyi Miklos was also Croatian, yet he fought to liberate central Hungary from Turks).
Because EU should be a historicaly accurate game, countries that had no chance to exist should not exist. I would also like to see an independent Bulgaria or Serbia (Hrv123, Rumunija nije postojala sve do 1878, do tada su bili samo Vlasi). So OK, let's make those states, and then you'll see them devoured by the great powers in 10-20 years.
Croatia couldn't survive the Turkish attacks without Hungary. Also Hungary wouldn't survive without the Germans and Papal (monetary and diplomatic) help.
Jebote, ja ko da sam poceo da pisem knjigu ovde...
