well then was Srpsko-Hrvatski....

My mistake there. The airport we flew into is in what is now Slovenia, but where we stayed is in Croatia. :)

The book I bought, printed in England, is called "Learn Serbo-Croat for Yugoslavia" or some such. How the stuff that is in the book relates to what the Serbians and Croatians actually speak, I don't know, but since you live there I'll assume you know more about it than I do :D

It was never an Hungarian province!!

from 1102.AD. Croatia was in personal union with Hungary.
Newer a province of Hungary.
Alauth Hungary trayed to make it youst a province!

This is same situation as Kalmar union

Dan>Swe,Nor & Hun>Cro

So it is noth historicly corect to make it youst a province.

SO please can you tell me PARADOX will there be Croatian TAG in EUII?

P.S. EU is best strategical game ay ever played!
P.S.S. Sory for speling

The two kingdoms united under the Hungarian king, either by the choice of the Croat nobility or by Hungarian force, in 1102. From then until 1918 kings of Hungary were also kings of Croatia, represented by a governor (ban), but Croatia kept its own parliament (Sabor) and considerable autonomy.

How on earth will you simulate two countries ruled by the same king for 800 years?
It’s not really the same thing as Carlo V or Kalmar union.
Rather I would say it is more resembling to Poland-Lithuania union, and that is one country as far EU is concerned.

Yes there is the same thing on another thread.

Would you all please keep subjects in 1 thread or it gets confusing.
I suggest, because of the title, that all Serb/Croatia posts go here and not in the other thread.

OK, if there is going to be a Croatian TAG in EU2 because they had certain independence and a parlament then Transylvania and Carniola (because they were part of Hungary too) should get their TAGs, because these territories had their own parlament too. Transylvania had the parlament of the "Three nations" (Hungarian, Szekely and German), while Carniola (Szlavonia) had a similar status as Croatia, but they were not the same. There were more peoples in Hungary: the Ruthenians, the Slovaks (Toths) and the Kuns. Let's not forget that there on the southern border there was a military "province" called Hatarorvidek that had a governer too, and was mainly populated by Serbs. They should get their TAG too.
I'm sure we can divinde the whole world into small parts. For example in Russia, Pskov and Novgorod should have their TAGs. Also there should be Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, and let's not forget that the Prussians weren't assimilated by the Germans until the 18th century.

OK, so anyway I think discussing about this is stupid. There was no nationalism during that time, the Croats or any other people were not thinking about fighting for their nationalistic plans, the comon people rebeled because of high taxes, while the Croatian nobility incorporated itself into the Hungarian nobility and felt comfortably there (one of the greatest generals, Zrinyi Miklos was also Croatian, yet he fought to liberate central Hungary from Turks).
Because EU should be a historicaly accurate game, countries that had no chance to exist should not exist. I would also like to see an independent Bulgaria or Serbia (Hrv123, Rumunija nije postojala sve do 1878, do tada su bili samo Vlasi). So OK, let's make those states, and then you'll see them devoured by the great powers in 10-20 years.
Croatia couldn't survive the Turkish attacks without Hungary. Also Hungary wouldn't survive without the Germans and Papal (monetary and diplomatic) help.

Jebote, ja ko da sam poceo da pisem knjigu ovde... :)

The two small states that are out there (Wallachia and whateveritis) quite often survive till well into the game, so even allowing the rest of your argument, this doesn't follow :D

It's quite likely that almost every European province in EU2 - at least in the east, where the huge Austrian and Ottoman empires were made up of lots of small principalities - will be capable of becoming a separate state, although most of them will probably never show their head.
