Spoilsports.I mean, it isn't a problem to just let the game generate 1000 stars.
However, I doubt the Pentagon would lend you their supercomputer just to play Stellaris.

Distant Worlds was pretty laggy too and had memory issues, not sure if they fixed it since I last played.Distant Worlds had up to 1400 stars. We want MOAR!![]()
I think that was during the video with Angry Joe.I do recall hearing / reading somewhere that they were testing for more than 1000 stars, but don't recall where I saw that. :/
And, I may be totally off on that recollection.
When is Intel releasing the 1000 core processor and when can we have nvidias 16 sli setup.......
The game is 32-bit
Won't matter. The game is 32-bit. 2000 stars might be do-able, but with 32 empires and possible tens of thousands of characters and units, it'll eventually hit the hard memory limit and crash.
Though, who knows. For all we know, it could be pretty optimised.
Why?Wait, seriously? That's a major disappointment.
Why?
1401?Distant Worlds had up to 1400 stars. We want MOAR!![]()
What?32-bit applications are limited to using 2GB of RAM. RAM usage is likely to skyrocket as you increase the system limit beyond 1000. I have 16GB of RAM but that will be useless due to the app being 32-bit.
I seriously hope the 32bit thing is just a wild rumour

I have a 64GB system.....it will be like driving a Ferrari 5 KPH...
Well, the recommended specs include "OS: Windows 7 x64 or newer"...
That's the recommended. I would prefer that were the minimum.
For now, yesClausewitz engine is 32bit and that is what Stellaris is built on.
