It was implied when Sunset Invasion was first announced that there would be a "major" DLC in time for Christmas. Is that still the plan....and any hints as to the subject?

Because I'm NOT interested in Sunset Invasion at all.

I'm only interested in gameplay changes/improvements and stuff that can affect mods. Since SI seems to be just another horde invasion (we have 3 already), it's not worth the money. That is unless someone actually makes a worthwhile mod set in the Americas that utilizes the mod. Even if such a mod was made it wouldn't be out of the question for them to just use modded in aztecs (user made portraits, cultures, etc.) instead of the DLC aztecs.

TL;DR Paradox shut up, release a DLC, and take my money. Cue that image featuring Fry holding a wad of cash.

I'd guess the next one will be pagan. Christmas is a pagan holiday after all.

I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a horde of Voudoun priests and Ares swordsmen led by the Slavic war god Jarilo and Thor descend on the HRE. Give a whole new meaning to the idea of That Oldtime Religion.

If they do a playable Pagans DLC, they should offer a scenario set back in the Dark Ages, circa 800ish. When Europe was mostly Pagan. And Charlemagne. It would also be interesting to have a cultural invasion in the form of Christianity and later Islam as the two spread across Europe and Northern Africa.

Republics would be legit. I hope they do two more DLC, one focusing on Religions and making Pagans and Theocracies playable, as well as adding the Dark Age scenario I mentioned. The second should focus on Republics and the economy of the world, giving more control and focus to your empires income and expenses.

Wow, that would actually make the Pagan DLC something I'd be interested in. Don't care much for the Generic Scandinavian Paganism DLC everyone's so keen on.

Actually, it would be really neat if someone added Christmas events to the game. It is already partially covered with the grand feast decision; however, I don't think there is any explicit reference to gifts, feasts, or caroling.

I would love some date-appropriate flavour events, like you said some of it covered by the Summer Fair and Feast events but a few things for special culture and religion appropriate days would be awesome (then again dates for festivals like Christmas were open to interpretation back then).

Lots of cultures had their own Spring festivals which became assimilated into Easter.

Easter was the feast of Istar. The Middle Eastern goddess of fertility. Hence the rabbits, eggs, etc. None of those things had anything to do with Christianity or Judaism.

I'd like to see a pagan dlc that covers all pagan faiths, not just Asatru or Odinism and the dark ages as everyone seems to want, but everything including Romuva, Suomenesko, and Tengri realms as well. I'd also like to see a small part of that dlc cover Zoroastrianism as well, even if it's just to make them playable, give them fire temples and a head of religion, and add a few events and methods to restore the Persian Empire from the Sunni usurpers.

I'd like to see a pagan dlc that covers all pagan faiths, not just Asatru or Odinism and the dark ages as everyone seems to want, but everything including Romuva, Suomenesko, and Tengri realms as well. I'd also like to see a small part of that dlc cover Zoroastrianism as well, even if it's just to make them playable, give them fire temples and a head of religion, and add a few events and methods to restore the Persian Empire from the Sunni usurpers.
i dream with this dlc :p
