Will there be a dev diary for the republic dlc?

I don't know, but I sure hope so! I really want to have some of my questions answered!
Every first DD comes a week after the announcement of a major DLC so it will most likely come something of the sort tomorrow.
But every CKII DD has come on wednesday... I fear we may have to wait for more days
Also, for all the previous DLCs, the release date was announced along with the DLC... the lack of a concrete release date frightens me...

The future indeed does not seem bright. The Byzantine portraits were supposed to be released in summer and now they are scheduled for winter. I now understand why they were so eager to point out that "Sunset Invasion did not affect the schedule" - the schedule simply collapsed and they felt the need to fill the gap with a quick DLC.
I doubt that's what happened. What likely happened was that Mediterranean portraits weren't quite done when LoR came about so they postponed them for a bit. Then, they got to deciding that they'd be putting out a Republic DLC at some point, being that most of the Republics are Italian they would be affected by the new portrait pack; P'dox wanted a portrait pack to accompany the Republic DLC and that one was the most sensible one. So, they decided that it would come out alongside The Republic and it's probably already been finished for a while, just waiting to come out alongside that DLC. I guarantee you that The Republic will be out in the 1st - 2nd week of January and along with it not only the new portraits but likely some new music and sprites as well, P'dox is just trying to build a little suspense is all. Let's all just relax, please.

That would only give them time for 2-3 DDs. The only way that could be accomplished is if the Republic added so little to the game that 2-3 DDs would suffice to describe it all. I don't know if this is better or worse than my vision.
Or there could just be more in the DDs... the point is I think you and a lot of other people are worrying too much. It'll be alright.
That's what they said about the Russian Portraits. The women... The faces... The terror... Noo...
I just noticed something: SoI had 3 DDs, LoR had 6 and LoR was the smaller one, it was also the one made alongside the half-year postponed portrait pack. Food for thought.
