Hey guys.
Just curious if Paradox has mentioned or hinted at that the MP or net code for CK2 will be fixed/updated.

It's currently in a sad state of affair. Getting a MP going is hard enough as it is with checksums changing if you load up the wrong start date but me and my friend the past few years has never been able to successfully play a game of Ck2 without out of sync errors.

It might be due to bad internet connections (which are sometimes present) but in most cases for other games (which we play aswell) the game will just pause with the message "Player lagging behind" as opposed to breaking completely.

Thank you for any shed of light on this topic.

It has been cleaned up a lot. With the Conclave release PDS removed the cross-platform desyncs which were a massive cause of them before (only the Linux and Mac users would drop).

Its not as clean as Stellaris but for our games the desyncs happen every 90-120 mins instead of every 15-30.

That is indeed a significant improvement but I'd rather not have to restart every two hours as it can get tiresome very quickly.
Hoping I don't sound needy or anything.
Just sad that we can play eu4, stellaris and hoi4 with no issues but ck2 still is a no go :(

Haha I wouldn't say needy, just high standards ;)

It's really not that much of an issue for our group now - the longer intervals are actually kinda useful for drinks/bathroom/etc breaks.

Though t does make me mad playing Stellaris with the features it has now, like the hot join. It's all so smoothly done - "why can't CK2 have this?!?". CK2 is one of my all time fav games, so I just put up with the desyncs.

That's not high standards - I play plenty of other games multiplayer, none of them require everyone to restart the entire game and rehost in order to let someone who the terribly coded client has dropped back into the game.
