The way they work is very inefficient so they cant pick up bodies properly also it can also be fixed by making citizens not all die at the same time
I agree, so many people all dieing at the same moment in time is both unrealistic and problematic for the game, but in what way is the working of hearses "very ineffcicient"? And what you do to improve the efficiency? The way they work is very inefficient so they cant pick up bodies properly also it can also be fixed by making citizens not all die at the same time

No people dying on mass is to do with age, just search the forum you will see many people reporting the same issue, it has nothing to do with sickness. If people are dying at the same time it's because they're getting sick, possible due to lots of pollution and not enough hospitals, or perhaps your population is now old and they're dying off.
The hearses do their job as I've watched them in action a few times. The problem might be your traffic and or cemeteries being full. You need to keep an eye on those and start building crematoriums to make more space, otherwise the dead can't be moved out and your living residents will leave.

Thats how it is, but you must agreed that its stupid game mechanic and has to be fixed...or perhaps your population is now old and they're dying off.
That's a fair workaround for now - but should it really be necessary in a game that strives to simulate a life-cycle of a population and its city? People moving into the city/being born should come with all sorts of starting ages (well not the babies that would be oddIf they die at the same time means you zoned a lot at the same time, you need to spread out zoning a bit and not zone a huge area at once to counter the all die at same age problem.
Can't say I think that's true, not done any testing, but I did think it might be the case until I saw a large die off in oldest parts of my city, which was zoned in small paracels over quite a space of time, I figureed somehow over the years the age of the citizens there had for some reason started to syncronise, perhaps when I installed a large police station or something that made a lot of people happy and lot of residences to upgrade. If they die at the same time means you zoned a lot at the same time, you need to spread out zoning a bit and not zone a huge area at once to counter the all die at same age problem.
