If this game is successful I would rather see the addition of axed content followed by the addition of refinements i.e. animations (arms/weapons), inferno missiles, burning woods, left away mechs, ECM, vehicle control, infantry, air strikes, bombardment, and so on ... before anything else ...

One other thing I want to add about Paradox? They are a NERDY AS HELL studio. I say this in the best of ways. This is a company that's done a lot to help with Tabletop RPG sort of games in Europe (Including working on the revival of the World of Darkness) and elsewhere too. I wouldn't be shocked at all if there's multiple TT Battletech fans amongst its leadership. This truly is a great partnership I'm super stoked about.

...and if it gets us "Successor State Lords" (AKA: BAttletech Crusader Kings style game) even better!

...no, no, no... seriously, there's much to add/refine/correct before moving on to another spot in time.

This has been rather heavily hinted at by HBS.

From the Kickstarter update I quoted above: "We’re happy to be working with a publisher who knows how to make great strategy games, loves BattleTech, and respects BattleTech fans."

It would be hard for us to not get a sequel. chances are if they ran another kickstarter it would do as well, if not better, which would suppliment a good chunk of development costs, combined with this game appearing to pre-sell well, we SHOULD be able to get our hopes up for a sequel unless it gets reviewed like ass in the next week or so lol

I'm ashamed to admit I gave up on BattleTech when FASA went away and did not learn about this game until I chanced upon it's page in Steam. By then to late to participate in the Kickstarter. Basically what I'm saying is if given a chance to support the game I would be on board since I missed my chance this time around.

HBS is known to approach game development in a pipeline-fashion, with parts of the HBS Team efforting applicable aspects of one, two or even three games (Golem Arcana, Necropolis and BATTLETECH as an example) at once.

HBS has already spoke of their hopes to stand up an enduring BATTLETECH Live Support Team to finish (the features that @OathOfFealty mentions above), polish and perhaps pursue additional BATTLETECH content like Co-op Mode or even HBS Indigenous Mech Data (Hatchetman, Stinger, Wasp, etc.)

This would permit others from Team HBS to focus on whatever Jordan and Mitch deem comes next. : )

Maybe they could fix 40k then? I and alot of others grew up in the 80´s watching Transformers and started playing tabletop BattleTech. But it was 40k that grew into my main intrest.

With this game, the HBS will make a hole in the world!
I know for sure!
And he must continue to upgrade this game and set only the highest goals.

For example, the game was promised by Solaris 7 and unfortunately did not meet the HBS.
I think this should not be a problem for HBS!
The RNG should be balanced to make the matches match!

I believe, I believe, I believe

If you "balance" RNG then its not random anymore is it, kinda defeats the entire mechanics of the game

Sry for the big wrench here - but 40k will not celebrate a 2nd spring - the IP will always be in GW hands and in the last 3 years they seem really happy with destoying their franchises...

That remains to be seen. We all hope so of course, but it's a bit premature to claim success just yet.

Also, the Kickstarter money is long gone, it (partially) funded the last two and a half years of development.

HBS needs the game to sell well on the 24th and the following month or so to really be able to talk about what to do next at all.

It's one of the biggest pre sellers on Steam. And let's be honest, as far as gameplay goes, we pretty much know what we are getting. The story has also been outlined. Everyone knows what we are getting at this point. So, I think pre sales and day 1 purchases will be fine.

I do hope for more single player campaigning, that's what got me to kickstart the game and the only thing that will keep me coming back.

And yes, Paradox is the nerdiest group of devs I have ever seen, and they keep hiring more nerds, and Super nerds on top of that. Go watch DDRJake dance, and see what I mean. And Starnan, and others lol, it's fantastic. I do not just watch any bunch of devs play their own games, but I watch a ton of Paradox devs playing their own games.

GW doesnt view their games as games, but more as ways to sell models. Thats why they suck. GW has no interest in building a good game anymore. Just a bunch of new powerful shit that you have to buy to replace your old nerfed shit.

Also their system works very well so they arent gonna loosen their grip on the IP so someone else can take a crack at it thats for sure.

I hope expansions are simply additional worlds and additional contracts, basically expanding the base game, instead of making us start 9 different new games for the different expansions and different parts of the universe. It would be pretty cool if it remained continuous and constant. Just our 1 account and 1 force traveling the Inner Sphere in search of death, destruction, and dollars.

They should be able to do this while just advancing the timeline forward, or have an option to use your saved game as the starting point for the new campaign (upping the difficulty accordingly).

I would definitely like expansions to cover the 4th succession war, and clan invasions at the very least . Of course, I would also like the ability to control an additional lance .

You know maybe one of the houses offers you an additional drop ship to secure your services (you should be quite a respectable mercenary outfit by the end of this first campaign). Easy way to expand your drop capacity, and I think most Merc outfits would kill to have their own dropship in exchange for securing thier exclusive (can't work for competing houses) services .

All signs pointing to a very successful launch so more content is likely. The developers also seem keen on it when the idea of additional content has been brought up on stream.

This has been rather heavily hinted at by HBS.

From the Kickstarter update I quoted above: "We’re happy to be working with a publisher who knows how to make great strategy games, loves BattleTech, and respects BattleTech fans."

cKnoor has also mentioned on stream that there are many Paradox developers and staff who were big Paradox fans prior to PDX signing on as publishers.
