It's now going on for 10 years. I, poor native, fought against Portugal, Castille and England alltogether (not sure how it is even possible, they should have gotten the distant penalty as I own nothing in Europe...). I gave a province to Castille as I was loosing, then I began reconquering provinces. As England occupied nothing, they asked me to conceed defeat. Now, 10 years after the begining of the war, Portugal has about 75% warscore (lost battles; it has been at around 90% at worst), but only occupies 2 inland provinces, that I might succeed to claim back. While they are definately stronger than I (need to westernize), I'm way too big for them to successfully siege a significant part of my country with their limited armies.
I thought I would post a screen, but I know not where it is located. Wathever, their will for fight is low (-1), their own military strenght is -4, but they got +30 for relative strenght of alliances... Not sure why; perhaps colonies that never showed up, or a remnant of Castille and England in its calculation.
When my wars drag for too long, I end up getting a monthly war exhaustion going on... Will it ever hit them? This, I believe, would be the only thing that could stop that madness; while they get some WE from attri, it goes down monthly; not sure why, perhaps some AI bonus. Since the begining, they still not sent any peace offer, nor would they accept any. I begin to dispair of this situation.
