The US will probably have trouble entering the war because it "wants to"... it didn't enter until Japan and Germany declared war on the country. As for neutral countries... I wouldn't count anything out... after all, there were invasion plans for Sweden, it's just that the tide was turning and thereby saved our soil from German bombs, troopers and "whatnot". There was also an event where the allies denied Swedish ships departure from an Icelandic harbour... and, supposedly, that brought us very close to a war against the western alliance. In fact, I think Sweden got fairly close to war with each of the three power blocks (the commies, the fascists and the capitalists).
Wasn't Sweden also semi-involved in the Winter War (on the Finnish side, a battalion of volunteers and a fighter squadron)? Plus hosting the Danish Brigade afer the Danish Army was disarmed in 1943. Any political simulation worth its salt should recognize Swedish genius in maneuvering between the political extremes throughout the war, and then still influencing policy (Wallenberg rescue trip to Hungary, Himmler surrender negotiations, etc.).
