It will definitely be able to run it, it is more powerful than the one s and that runs it fine, the new cpu will definitely help as well.assuming the S can even run it
the same logic also applies to the ps5Any pledge regarding the PS5?
What about optimized versions? Or can you not tell us yet.Players who have previously purchased Stellaris: Console edition will be able to play on next gen consoles through the built-in backwards compatibility provided by the next-gen consoles, so long as they use their same login information and account. Your previous purchases of Stellaris Console Edition will carry over so long as you remain in the same “ecosystem.” Ex: if you bought Stellaris on PS4, you can play it on PS5 but not on Xbox Series X.
Hope this helps!![]()

Ok, thats what I thought. Thank you for the answer. At the moment, we don't have any details about next-gen optimizations.![]()
I for one hope they DONT "optomize" for the latest console. Since console versions are mandatory version upgrades, that could leave those of us not buying the newest Microsoft gimmick, in a lurch
to be fair if they did optimize for the new systems they'd finish off the dlc that is currently planned and then make a judgement call on whether to keep supporting the older systems with updates/dlc as well as the new systems, or just the new systems leaving the older systems to stay where they are but still work as intended
the main reason why many people are hoping for an optimized version is to try and get some features that the pc version has (i.e. more players for multiplayer sessions, faster in game time settings, mods*) [*they do plan to look into mods but they have to catch console up to the pc version first]
Don't suppose you've seen this video?
The fastest game speed on PC and on Console is uncapped, meaning it will run as fast as the hardware will let it. The performance improvement between Xbox One and Series X was quite surprising to me.
Is the series X speed faster than 1 day per 2 seconds on the fastest speed settings in endgame? Because currently it's a SLOG.Indeed I did, and while the performance was improved; I specifically mentioned a version of Stellaris properly optimized for the new consoles
which I know you and others at PDX have stated there was no current plans for [due to cross gen and backwards compatibility]
it might be possible that a new version of Stellaris made for the Series X/PS5 might be able to handle speeds closer to what the pc version has [the fastest current console speed in game is about the same roughly as the normal pc speed or fast at minimum] as well as more player slots
i don't know the exact amount but yes the series X and ps5 do have slightly faster in game times (at least in single player games) [it seems as if it slows down for MP games due to the cross gen stuff]Is the series X speed faster than 1 day per 2 seconds on the fastest speed settings in endgame? I saw a video comparison with 10 empires 600 stars and it runs in endgame just as fast as in start gamei don't know the exact amount but yes the series X and ps5 do have slightly faster in game times (at least in single player games) [it seems as if it slows down for MP games due to the cross gen stuff]
I am using xbox series x and the game is significantly faster than on xbox one x, that I had before, I am currently playing at year 2411, with no slow down.
yeah honestly if you don't already have a series x, wait a bit so they can get most of the kinks sorted out...should take 6 months to a year or soAw, *Must, save up... Play it safe... Don't BUY YET!!*
