A pc that exceeds the minimum specs is dirt cheap these days. My mainstream PC is 4 years old and I'm on par with the recommended specs.
It's not about the money or age of the computer. It's how requirements are ranked amongst other games. If I can play any game I want besides C:SL and a few others with no problem, why is it not right to say C:SL has a bit steep requirements.
And another thing. Having high requrements does not translate into taking Pc gaming seriously. Where did you get that idea. I could write you a program that requires 8 core CPU to run calculations and a beasty GPU just because I don't have a single clue about optimisation.
Will my program take "PC gaming seriously" as a result? No it won't. High requirements =/= quality.
