Hi all,

I am loving the new DLC, but I learned a small lesson the hard way.

One of my ruler's daughter suddenly returned to court. I was made aware of this because of a marriage proposal for her that arrived from another court.

I refused the marriage and went back to the plans I had been laying.

Unfortunately, I did not look carefully enough to discover that her former husband had died of consumption and she was now infected.

So when I went to find her a new spouse no one will touch her because of the infectious disease.

So I am now concerned for the well being of my court. The only option I see that fits with my ruler's traits, etc. is to send her for Holy Orders - but will this work?

I have a court physician (learning 7) who bungled one job, I imprisoned and then released him. He hasn't attended to the sick princess to date.

The one thing I will point out is that I should have accepted the marriage proposal when it was offered. I am guessing that the game doesn't immediately catch the infections disease trait immediately.

Good God man, your physician has just 7 Learning ?! What are you doing - TRYING to get killed ?

Go to the Intrigue tab and spam the "Invite Holy Man to Court" button. It's just 5 Piety a pop no matter ow big your realm and after you've done this about half a dozen times I guarantee you will have at least one Learning 15 hero. Make him your Court Physician (they will be very grateful), then send him a gift (they will be VERY grateful) and an honorary title like Chief Almoner or Cupbearer (they will LOVE you !).

Since the success of a physician's treatment is based upon their Learning and their opinion of you you should now get excellent quality care - go for the Experimental cure and expect to get something nice.

And if they die, do the whole process again - 30 Piety and maybe 15 gold to get the best damned medical care in the game !

Whenever I try to use that decision they are never eligible to be Court Physician. I have been resorting to spawning in commanders because sometimes you can use them as your Court Physician.

Spawn Holy Men, they don't have any scaled Prestige or Gold cost, they cost 5 Piety no matter how big your realm and they come with a Learning education so are highly likely to have 13+ Learning.

Well I spawned 6 holy men and not one of them was above 12 in learning.

Ah well... Still better than 7.
