Paradox Marketing said:Besides the game of course, the Collectors Edition will include:
* A specially designed "EU:Rome bust", height 15 cm. See images in the webshop.
* A unique forum avatar (think gold!)
* Access to the "EU: Rome Collectors Edition forum" designed to give the hard core fans EU: Rome something extra. You will see a more intense developer presence, and will also be the first to receive any extra material ongoing. In addition you will also be in the fast lane to participate in regular beta testing of upcoming builds and content upgrades. This is also where polls of what to include in upcoming patches and products happen.
EU: Rome will also ship with a digital strategy guide and a giant EU: Rome
map.

Let me know if you see it around Dublin. I talked myself into getting the CE but they wanted me to register for some Mastercard feature as well so I declinednoddy102 said:I will buy my version of Rome in my local game shop.
I don't know exactly how this was confused...but you DO get a PHYSICAL copy of the game. Like..a store box. But BETTER. lolPontiac said:Me too.
Duke of Bavaria said:TBH i wasnt sure either if there will be a boxed version. So this is good news as i might get a cheaper one when i buy it. Just wont buy it when it comes out as i still have to wait for MMG2/3, In nomine , a HOI Arma patch, and a CK/DV patch to be able to finally completely enjoy my other PAradox games. I tend to buy games at least a half year after release anyway because Developers seem to think the buyers are their beta testers. So half year/year later i get a finished game for a smaller price.

Aye, the webshop items are sent PHYSICALLY. Only if you buy something from GamersGate you only get a digital copy.
Yeah, you get a manual. But with GG, obviously, you get a digital manual.snude said:and i suppose u get a manual as well when u buy it over GG
To tell ya the truth i've not had many real problems with PI games and i've bought most of them out of the gate, these days ALL games come out with problems...just the business model now as long as things are patched i'm happy.Grumpyoldman said:Exactly the way I feel and the way I will buy it also Bavaria. Just too many games these days come out of the box unfinished and flawed and buggy and full of errors to include the famous CTD's and companies think we should pay them $50 for this! I got CK/HOI in a jewel case package deal for $5.00 and I got HOI2 for $4.80 and I got EUIII for $7.00 not long ago. This is what Paradox reaps for what they sow.![]()

Duke of Bavaria said:I really think Paradox is the best developer out there, their patching policy is awesome even if it has gotten worse the last 1-2 years. But i just dont understand why i should buy a game when i exactly know that i will only be able to enjoy it in all its glory 1-2 years later (including mods).
So EU III/NA was the last Paradox game i bought immidiately i mean i still wait to be able to play it for full enjoyment and this will only come with MMP.
Also was a little shocked by the state DV came out in. So i think no Rome for me until about summer 2009. Wouldnt have time , too, as i have to play MM Gold, a patched DV and HOI Anth. if Amazon should ever decide to finally send it to me.
Grumpyoldman said:When their patching policy was patch it until it's fixed and in a very fast manner I used to think the same of them. But, not anymore. They've got so many hands in the fire now they can't keep up and that just makes my experience with the games less and less fun and buying their games upon release less and less attractive.
All companies release faulty and buggy and error ridden games that is definitely a fact, but, we as consumers certainly don't have to support that upon release. Just wait out the patches and let them suffer the loss of those sales and maybe just maybe they'll get back to being what they should be and do in the first place. If they go bellyup oh well, maybe they should have thought about that when they were ripping us off out of our cold hard cash and 6 months to a year and a half before the game is fixed.
Correction, those games rarely received a patch. You just learned to live with the bugs and crashes and glitches and random freezing. Or if you were lucky, you bought a magazine with the patch on its coverdisk, since downloading it wasn't really an option.Andrelvis said:Ah, the good old days of Warcraft II and Imperialism... those days games rarely needed a patch (although we missed the extra content some patches have)
Yep, ...god I wish I had a patch for Fantasy Empires, I loved that game...StephenT said:Correction, those games rarely received a patch. Will the game be sold in Poland and is CENEGA still Polish publisher?
