My early games were mostly either me as Scotland failing horribly, me as Castille not knowing you didn't have to assault forts, or me as muscovy not understanding how attrition or leaders work they tended to get weird.

Well Kurland is good too. I made a P'Russia' by LO long time ago, and it let me down that LO couldn't be monarchy at that time, so I was excited by the patch containing Kurland.
