Will "Resetting Gamestate" crash be fixed with AoW?

This bug is so annoying and has been there for months. About 50% of the time I load a game when a game is already loaded, or exit to main menu the game crashes. It's fine for normal gameplay but if you're trying to test something or find the right save game it's very annoying.

That was my attitude several months ago. That's why I'm wondering if it's finally fixed in this upcoming patch.

Interesting. Maybe it is only on certain machine configurations. I'm using an SSD, NVidia GeForce, Win7-64. Others?

Also, I completely removed all traces of EU4 and reinstalled - no help.

I suggest to backup

C:\Users\%Username%\Documents\Paradox Interactive

folder and completely reinstall the game with 1.8 + AoW update as soon as it launches. After reinstall return back \Savegame and \Screenshots folders.

Not if it doesn't get reported (e.g. posted in tech support forum with supporting info like logs and DXDIAG output). Has it been? If not you should certainly report it if you still see it in 1.8.
Even if it has been reported they may not be able to reproduce it reliably which makes it much more difficult to find the cause.

Did that already. I wiped everything. No help. I'm pretty sure (but not certain) I reported this a long time ago. If it's not fixed in 1.8 I'll report again.

I for example have never experienced this. Nor any kind of game crashing bug that were the fault of EU4.
Isn't there any kind of crash/bug reporter that one could fill/use? That would help to narrow down the problem. Since I suspect that this is hardware configuration related, due to the fact that for somepeople it is frequent and to others a nonexistent issue.

I only started getting this after 1.7 went live.

On the bright side this issue *seems* to be fixed in 1.8, though I've done limited testing. I just did load game from within a game like 10 times in a row and didn't crash once.

Once getting further into my game this bug came back. Still get CTD when loading from within a game or exiting to main menu. It seems to be more probably the further into a game one gets.
