Basically what the title asks. Do you think AI Poland will ever agree to cede Danzig. If they do what do you imagine the next step for Germany is. Declare war on Poland anyway? Live happy under the unified German lands?

I imagine it will be related to global tension. Taking Danzig may make it not possible to march into the rump Czechoslovakia without war.

Obviously I have no idea how it will work in HOI4 but I had at least one save in HOI3 where Poland relinquished Danzig without a fight. I think it may have happened in at laest one of my US games too.
Really? I've played many games, but never did Poland cede danzig in HOI 3

only once for me. i wish there was a this-for-that system where you could offer provinces in exchange for other provinces.

Considering that it appears that one of the National focuses for Germany is buddying up with Poland, I would hazard a guess that yes they might cede Danzig if they like Germany enough, and if they do then you are probably building alliances (since that seems to be that branch of the focuses) and then you can probably declare war on France or something.
The national focus for Germany is 'Danzig vs Slovakia'. So it's easy... Poland gives Danzig to Germany. But Poland can annex Slovakia. So insteed of an independ Slovakia it will be part of Poland.

really? oh that's absolutely perfect. as germany, i'll probably go for that every time then since that will make the axis much better prepared for anything. germany + italy to pulverize france, and germany + poland to smash russia.

I think Hitler would demand Alsace-Lorraine, Eupen, North Schleswig or WW1 Colonies if Poland ceded Danzig. Or maybe just all territories lost in the Treaty of Versailles?
I must confess when I first saw the title of this thread, the first thing that popped into my head was, "Why? Are they still being asked to?"

At least this is very likely. With the allies, this is another question, because their legitimation for the war was the war with Poland.
The allies will use the New Axis (Poland, Italy, Germany, Japan) as a wall against communism.

I've only ever had that happen once and that was in Hearts of Iron II. But I continue to hope. After all, the only way to find out if they will cede Danzig is to keep demanding Danzig!
