Hi,

I'm curious if multiplayer started CiM 2 games will be locked into only playing multiplayer.

What happens if me and my buddy start a co-op game and then he is no longer available to play after that? Will another player be able to load into his slot in the future, or will the AI take over his company and allow me to continue to play it just by myself? Or will the game simply delete the co-ops company if I play it without somebody else?

The couple videos that I've found on the subject of multiplayer were a bit vague so couldn't find the answer to this sort of situation.

Thanks.

seems to me it would be a huge feature quite likely used by more people than two real players.

Plus once the game has worn down with regards to multiplayer it would offer the single player an option to play not so alone in the game.

Of course if the AI was not spot on then people wouldn't want it anyway.

Maybe thats just me but as far as coop goes I think it is kinda obvious that you can "turn" it into a singleplayer once maybe one of your buddies don't wanna play anymore. To quote from the dev diary on multiplayer:

One of the biggest differences between the first and second Cities in Motion is the multiplayer mode. The first CiM had no MP and many players requested it, so we put effort into making it a reality in the sequel. Generally, multiplayer modes are not very common in simulation games, as they tend to be single player games with the goal of “beating the game”. We felt that simulation can benefit from multiplayer, though, and wanted to make sure there would still be that “game beating” aspect included even in the multiplayer mode. As such, we created two types of MP modes: co-op and competitive.

In co-op, you can play with up to three friends and all work at the same company on the same, big map. Building a huge network is much easier and more fun with friends. Large maps with many city centers offer enough room for many players to work simultaneously.

Since you going to work within the same company if you are in coop what is stopping you from working on it once a player decides to stop playing? The olny way I could see that that would not be working is that both of the players would have to be logged in the game for it to actually continue but that would be kinda lame and not really all that helpful.
