"Also, just out of the pure curiosity, can developers (if they are allowed to) share the number of copies sold thus far, and maybe give us the number of CKII copies sold last year in the first ten days, for comparison."
I can't seem to find the sales figure of PI's games anymore but surely a lot more.
That wouldn't help the game at all.
"i am not so sure about that. well, apparently the initial sales weren't that bad but really interesting would be how many still play the game."
I don't know where you would get that, the game was in the top 10 of best saled games on steam for only 2 to 3 days.
Then was dropped to the third page. Now it's on the ninth page.
And if you take a look at what the games were on this top 10 at the time, they were all quite old games.
I wonder if they've sold more than 10k-15k copies, to be honest.
But apparently that's not a problem:

I personnaly didn't even know the game existed until it was released.
The game was titled "Napoleon's Campaigns II", I wonder why they didn't stick with it.
When I saw that title, March of the... I just didn't read the title entirely and thought "oh, an other HoI3 expansion".
And if I had known Sengoku was to be given if pre-ordered...
Same syndrom with their newsletter feed that I still don't know how to subscribe to.
And I would have loved an other EU3 copy^^.
Now I'm frustrated to have both missed EU3 and Sengoku.
It seems to me that we can expect as much from mods than from PI.
