Will it run on a Macbook Air?

I've been reading the system specs required, but I always get lost with the ones related to the graphic card.
I have a 2013 macbook air with a Intel HD5000.

It can run EU4 without problems but from WWW videos it seems the grapshic stuff is heavier than the EU4 (could the big ships and planes moving on map be turned off?).

Does anyone know if it can be played on an Air? (maybe people from beta can answer this... I hope they had gotten people to test it on linux and osx...)

No idea about the FPS, but on top speed it flies.

Why are people always make this assumption?

EU4 has a lower system requirement then HOI4 has.

This is the minimum for mac(according to paradox webshop):

OS: OS X 10.8.5 or newer, Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.5Ghz, Memory: 4 GB RAM, Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 6750 / NVIDIA GeForce 320 or higher with 1024MB VRAM

Your video card is good enough for the minimum requirements, but it's under the recommended specs(GTX 750m)
I don't know what kind of processor you have.

I don't know what kind of processor you have.

Processor I have the top i7 it can be mounted there, same with RAM. That's why my only concern is the graphic card.

Well, I don't for sure. Just the EU4 -> HOI4 doesn't seem to be that much of a graphical upgrade.

Paradox games never have been heavy in ressources so even on an apple computer you should be able to make it run smoothly.

Don't forget: A lot of more stuff is "shown" on the screen then in EU IV, (ships, planes, troops) and all in 3d.

I would not say for sure, where EU IV "flies" HoI IV will fly too.

It just happens that the latest minimum requirement from paradox seem to be pretty high, being far beyond any integrated intel solutions, or for that matter many non-GTX level cards in mobile, and similar requirements for AMD.

We'll find out pretty soon, since steam gives a free refund you can test for an hour or so and return the game if you think it's too demanding.

It's also strange that there is a huge difference between the PC and the Mac minimums.
For the pc it is the 460gtx
For the mac it is the 320 gt
Those two cards are not even compareable, the 460 is like 4-5 times more powerful.

Generally minimum requirements are guidelines as long the developers give the option to disable sufficient levels of eye-candy. Playing on a super low resolution like 1024x768 and turning off every single option might not be the ideal experience the devs want to deliver, but playing the game is better than not playing it with older computers
