You gotta love that they throw swastikas and pictures/videos of hitler left an right at 1pm on public tv at you but you cant have anything remotely historical in an historical videogame. I really hate that the whole gouverment consits of old people that dont understand anything modern even remotely.
Swastikas are allowed for historical, anti-nazi and edjucational purpose and as an art form like movies, but of course those silly videogames arent any form of art nor are they edjucational at all since they are interactive unlike hollywood movies where they have an swastika on literaly every object of the evil german nazis and which are so edjucational and historical accurate.
But hey, who cares about the few votes from the young generation that are unimportant anyway, since only the old generation goes voting for the party that bribes them the most anyway. So they do politics for them pretty much exclusively. Better straight up ban stuff or make it look bad (just to be clear we are still at videogames) with unscientific "studies" and sell it to the old people that they are bravely protecting their children from violence and horrible influences and secure there vote. I surely always feel the desire to shoot people with real guns when i play an videogame or commit genozid if i see an swastika in one since i clearly cant tell the difference between reality and fiction.

I dont really mind the germans going a little overboard with trying to stop people using nazi imagery in any way that could be construed as trivializing it.It is way better than not doing enough to stop that.

there is a difference between preventing the same mistakes happening again and straight up censoring history. Besides, ONLY videogames have this restriction. Here in germany you see swastikas and hitler all the time on TV in documentations, comedy and in films etc. displaying it is only illegal if you use it in connection with the NSDAP in the public since it´s an religious symbol for hindus.

I think he means time to make a censor for the event. Or they may be exploring other options that also would not be ready for the event.

I'm really curious, how a censored version will look like, since i live in germany.
I thought it was reversed? Isn't a symbol of good fortune reversed? As far as the being a religious symbol that is not as any intentional sinister motive from the nazi party.

From what I have heard the issue for video games is that, from a legal perspective, they are seen as "toys" (regardless of age restrictions for specific games.)
