    Real Strategy Requires Cunning

I am playing SU and have pushed quite into Germany by spring 1942. My armies have reached Rhine river and one spearhead captrured Paris to piss off allied armies. Hitler commited suicide long time ago and Himmler is now #1 there. Should I expect any surrender from them soon? Due what happened in 1939-41, there are several German strongpoints on map - northen Norway and Finland, whole Spain (they attacked and annexed it), some pockets in France and even in Africa. Having to capture each one is going to be loooong quest. In my opinion, Nazi regime should fall - well not so many german lands under their hands, mostly leftovers from conquered Europe.

I checked event files, but to my suprise I didn't found anything in hoi2.txt, germany.txt and ussr.txt about their end. Just eventchains about setting new world when it's over... Did I look wrong?

I did this several times and never had any surrender event fire. So i guess you will have to conquer all.

Huh. If you're attacking as the soviets and the event triggered you should be getting an event trigger. I know it's something like '3/4 of all vp's, certain cities under enemy control and Berlin captured' that triggers the surrender, but ive not gotten that in years.
