Will EU4 Be Steam-Big-Picture/gamepad compatible?

I play the majority of games with my PS3 pad on PC. Even if they don't support it I remap them as I dislike the mouse/keyboard for moving etc. But for strategy games mouse/keyboard are far superior to anything else. OT: I do like that Steam big picture though.

I know its a strategy game, but new trends are coming, and it would be great if Paradox adapted to it. EU games last for years.
Besides, the game is perfectly playable with almots any device, keyboard and mouse are not a requirement.

And i know it can be made to be so, with mouse n' keys emulation. But how hard is it to include gamepad support?

I am not sure how I could possibly select a unit in a stack of units, re-assign ships within fleets (with the tiny arrows) or just for that matter, be able to click on a small province such as Corfu with my thick fingers...

EU with a fine input needed in many places does not necessarily lend itself to a mouse-less user interface...
