I can't really know for sure without playing it, but it also seems to have quite a few EU2 concepts plus several new ones, so I wouldn't equate it with HoI so much (other than the combat engine, which, I'd agree, seems to be similar in Vicky)....

But well, in the end, it is obviously up to you to make the final choice. Good luck.

I seem to be different, then...I like small and nice..... 1024*768 suits me just nice...

Of course, I wouldn't pass Victoria just for this...but hey, we are different:rolleyes:

might work with a bigger monitor. I have been thinking of buying one for a long time. I have had my 15" screen for a long time now(7 years).

I still use my 14" monitor at home.. It caps at 1024x768 :)

people still use that kind of stuff? :D

with LCD's gaining popularity, the old style monitors are reletively inexpensive, cost about half what they did 2 years ago (when I bought mine).

I still have (note that I don't use it) an 8" black and white (actually dark green and orange) monitor from 1983.

It weighs about 30 pounds.

I have an extra 19" standing on the floor beside me. I have probably sustained severe damage to my knees when I've walked by it. Especially when drunk and thinking "hah don't I know the way around my apartment?... OW"

I'll drive it over to you in exchange for some future games :)

Bahhhh! You people! You need to run it at 1240x1024 on a 19" flat screen like i do for eu2 :)

Eu2 looks great at that resolution for me, i can read the text fine and nothing is 'small' looking, just a lot more detail and can see quite a bit more of the action in a single screenie, very helpful for warring :)

19 inch...OMG!:eek:o
I wish I got a 19 inch LCD. CRT takes up too much space.

Perhaps 19 inch LCD = $1500 USD?!

I run at 1024 personally on my 19" crt, anything more I found too small and the scrolling isnt super crisp anymore as I prefer. Btw, a 19" LCD (which is in fact larger than a "19 inch" crt since they have only 18" viewable screens, 11% larger by my reckoning) can be had for $550 US and up if you order online these days in the 48 states.

Hehe, just gotta love the Norwegian legislation that lets companies buy subsidized computer stuff for their employees.

I'd really like Vicky to run at 1600 x 1200 on my nice 20" flatscreen :D

Huh...now that is a comforting news to hear that i'm "in one boat" with developer, in matter of speaking, ofcourse. I also use 14" (AOC)monitor that runs 1024x768 @ 60Hz
Playing games in 800x600 is acceptable, but games made in 1024x768 enviroment tend to look to small on my 14" monitor(atleast the txt does)...
i hope i don't have to order new monitor for Victoria...
