Wilhelm III Makes his move. Prussia Abyss AAR

The new Kaiser Wilhelm III had only been in power for a few years, and already, he was facing a grave decision. Wether to keep Prussia a world power and possibly anger the combined forces of the neighbors of Prussia, or to choose the road of peace, and possibly risk the existence of Prussia as the ever increasing expansionism in the Communist nations was threatening the stability of world peace.

Jan 1. 1936.

To prevent the Romans from declaring their red jihad on me, i'm going to order 75 new militias to be placed in the borders. This scenario played with Prussia always has the problem, that once you declare war on someone, or vice versa, most if not all everyone else next to you will be at war with you within a few days. Opportunist bastards!

I've noticed that a "few" militias can rectify this. Rome never declares if they get more than a spoonful.
Why militias you ask? They suck, sure.. But they build faster than the DOW date of Rome vs me, and that's a good thing belive me.
After the 75 Mil divisions are built, i'll start replacing them with real infantry. This will take a while, but it'll be worth it.

Research is going to concentrate heavily on Infantry and Industrial areas for now.

In January 3. all hell broke loose. Australasia had just declared war on Persia. After that, countries started declaring wars on each other like crazy. The kaiser was in his office full time, thinking. Thinking about the future, and if Prussia would belong to that future, and the survival of his people.

Feb. 8 1936:

A spark of light in the darkness. The general mobilization that began a year before in 1935, bore it's first fruit, as the first 53 militia divisions were deployed along the communist borders to stem their aggression. Things were no longer looking as grim as before.

After expanding the Kaiserswehr succesfully, and giving pause to Communist ambitions in Germany, the Kaiser was eager to take advantage of the situation and expand the sphere of influence of the Reich. Diplomatic papers were quickly drafted, and plans were made should diplomacy fail.

The plan was to use the few nations of the world friendly to Prussia, to together put pressure on the european soviet nations, and demand the german majority areas, along with a sizable buffer zone or face immediate military intervention from Prussia.

Luckily, the plan worked. With the Romans mostly tied up with a war in the middle east and elsewhere, the British soviets would have been no match for the large Prussian armies, if it had come down to combat. Therefore, large parts of the border area, almost all of Austria and parts of the British holdings in mainland europe were ceded to Prussian authority. Wilhelm was quick to take advantage of this, and deployed a large number of divisions to the newly acquired territories.

The next objective was to upgrade the Kaiserswehr's badly outdated weapons and tactics to modern standsrds. The coming war would require much better organization, rifles and machine guns.

Soon after the border expansion, the Cossacks declared war on the Communist block, seeing a weakness in their leadership. Wilhelm would be damned if he let this opportunity slip through his fingers. So, the next day, he ordered the Kaiserswehr to cross the borders into communist territory, and extinguish all resistance mercilessly, be it military or civilian.

After only a month, the Kaiserswehr had broken the back of the Roman army, and captured venice. In the north, the British army was being driven up towards the Danish peninsula. It was the beginning of the end for the communist block.

Playing as Sweden on normal, I was able to get territory out of Prussia, Russia and the Soviets without using cheats. The chance was 50 percent on each.

Aug 25. 1937
Italy is almost gone, APR continues on strong with Persia, but Russia, India and Indochina (My ideological friends) are doing well against Japan and the rest of the commies.

Confederates are gone, South- and North Americas are occupying their territories.

Australians are chasing kangaroos, and the Tannu-Tuvans are sitting pretty in their huts. :rofl:
