I was looking at one of my vassals who was single then, when suddenly a woman appeared in the "former wives" part of his screen. Clicking on the woman, it appeared that it was actually his brand new just married wife. back to the vassal's screen, she normally appeared in the "wife" part of the screen. So it seems that if a character changes its marital status while the player is looking at it, the spouse appears at the wrong place.
Not a big bug as it really is a matter of luck that I witnessed this, but still, buggy bug :)

This happened to me as well. The character screen just doesn't update that great. Click on the character portrait, and the issue should resolve itself.
I'm not sure if it's a bug or simply a weakness in the way the game works.

It is just a weakness in the character page update code. It does not update that factor immediately. Either wait for one day or click on the character portrait again as brxbrx says and it will re-read the character data to display properly. The only alternative I can see is to constantly scan for new information and that would eat up quite a few processor cycles.
