I did it as picking religius ideas, exploration and FULL military ideas (only didnt pick naval and aristocratic ) considering redoing it as humanist confucian this time aganist my counterpart religius shinto emperor

Ideally none, since it's more of a crutch than a buff in too many ways... a fun one to do it with is the Manchu tribes. One of the funnest playthroughs I've ever done. I finished after getting the EoC because I hate it, but it was a nice little objective playthrough. I imagine you can stack your banners to be even stronger now with Army Professionalism, that's gonna be some OP Cav.
