You have to wait because

Paradox is very keen to stoke interest in this product series and each announcement before release hightens anticipation, like yours.

The forum is integrated into Paradox marketing strategy, which I have not seen done so well by any other gaming concern. The two (the game and the forum) feed off each other. Notice the traffic here when new developments occur.

This is a good strategy. It invites more criticism and user response, that may not always be "flattering", but it is bold initiative and it is an intelligent marketing scheme.

So we have to wait. It's OK. EU1 is still the best game available to my liking. I can wait for genius products so long as I have one now that can help me bide the time.

Agree!

in real life I am not such an impulsive chaot that shouts about in forums like these. Wow, that sounds bad :D I concern myself with problems concerning all aspects of an organisation and I tackle those quite a lot more controlled that my first posting :) I have to agree with you, the commercial strategy if daring and very good. Nevertheless, besides the rational arguments, I have a serious weakness for historical (war)games and if it werent for real-life I could play them forever! So I am anxiously waiting and if it comes out I challenge you for a game!

regards,

Witte de With :D

We are alike in several ways

I concern myself with problems concerning all aspects of an organisation

because I too have a weakness for a strategy game of this calibre.

Just a question, when you say I do have to finish the game"... Do you mean you're alone? How many fellow programmers do you can rely on?
And if they can read this thread, don't give a number inferior to the actual size of the team, or they will all wonder who is the one not reliable ;)

In which language is the game written by the way? English? I think the Swedish version is just a translation... Some parts are left out.

I don't know about that. Seems like I've downloaded a patch for every piece of software I've ever bought.

Sure, the complexity is often so huge one cannot foresee all faults, nevertheless a lot of firms have strategic considerations in shipping software before finishing, like for example shareholder interests, etc..
