Why Would I Ever Buy This Game Again

I purchased this game on Steam.

Since 1.3, no Steam players can play mutli-player with non-Steam players unless they apply a "user fix" which is a sticky within Tech Support.

I have not seen one post, not even within the sticky, regarding this issue from Paradox.
I can only conclude that they will not fix this issue until a future patch or whenever it is convenient. That is simply pathetic & lazy.

Paradox has 10 days to fix this issue or I will declare internet warfare upon them. That does not involve hacking, anything malicious, or anything illegal. I do not think I'm a bad-ass threatening the apocalypse upon Paradox.

But it will involve the spreading of information across the intranet, something of which, among very few things, I have a knack for.
Please fix the issue for your game's sake. I do not take issues of irresponsible business lightly when it involves my own cash, time & the free market.

I'm a fanboy, for some reason I wasn't able to view "all posts by pbar25" within my profile to provide an example..........but take my word, I'm a fanboy.
This game is in my top 10 of all-time. My words have led to the purchasing of this game by many others.

I've had enough though. This isn't even a big issue.
I demand a fix or explanation.
If Steam is retarded, then so be it, say so and don't do business with them again.

Now download the "user fix" patch
verify your game integrity
restart your game for the 3rd time and check your checksum

How about this: Steam sells the correct game.

Rebel was able to create the correct game for us and Rebel doesn't even get paid. Stop helping them Rebel unless you are sent a check.

So it's steams fault? Why doesn't PI stop dealing with them? oh, because they want the money!

I bought the game off of steam, but have been practising solo before I try MP. Now I'm pissed that it won't work unless I try figure out how to install a user-made mod.

When talking about PI I say 'x is good' and 'y is bad', so I like to consider myself fairly balanced. But really this is complete and utter BS and incompetence. If they don't fix this issue, or stop doing business with steam, then someone should find a new job.

The fact that PI havent even COMMENTED on this issue is a bit disturbing. I fixed my checksum quite easily with the user fix but we shouldn't have to rely on community support for the game properly.

This is a silly issue which should not have been a problem to fix if Paradox and Steam got together and talked for 5 minutes, but alas it falls on the user to do the patchwork. No other steam games have the same issue, so why HoI3?

On the other hand it is a minor issue, and can be fixed so I am not exactly irate.

As for steam haters, I was one of them not 5 years ago, but today I cannot understand the anger at all. Steam is without contest the best digital distribution platform in the world, and I use it for nearly all my game purchases.

I made that fix and IMO:

You are wrong - this is Paradox problem not Steam problem - there is no reason for Steam to change those files when basic 1.3 patch files work perfectly with Steam.
