Why would a HD R building go abandoned after a single dead body?

While building a densely packed part of my city with loads of high density R zones I have come to the realization that a high density R building housing two dozen cims families goes abandoned if just one dead body isn't picked up on time.

Now, I can understand that a dead body in a large house, like the low density R zones, will make that building unlivable and people will abandon it because of the... unpleasant smells and such, but why would a building that is 10 stories high with dozens of apartments get abandoned by every single family living there because of one dead body in the building?

There should be a history record keep for each HD R building that would make the building go abandoned only after 3 dead bodies are not picked up in a certain time span. (the time can be set as high or low to keep the game balanced)

What do the rest of you think about this?

What level is your High Density (HD) building?

I ask as higher level buildings and more educated CIMs are more fussy apparently. Level 1 buildings and uneducated CIMs are less fussy and will put up with more problems before they leave or complain, whereas level 5 buildings with university graduates will complain and leave quite rapidly. That is my interpretation.

Aren't there also more cims per building as they level up from 1 to 5?

Mine are mostly level 3, some level 4


Yes there are more total cims per building as you level up. With perhaps the exception of 1x1 buildings. These appear to only have 1 or rarely 2 households in, even at high densities and levels. I have entire districts of 1x1 buildings, to simulate row housing and rarely see more people per building in them.

@perafilozof - did you ever experienced smell of a week-old dead body in a flat located on the last floor of high-density building? I did and you can believe me, that you wouldn't stand living on the second floor for any money...
