Why will France aid Poland

I can't post screenshots now since my laptops bored. However, as prussia I'm wanting to attack a small poland. France my ally will join the war on Poland side even though to my knowledge they have no alliance or guarantee.
I right click on poland and as far as I'm seeing France appears absolutely nowhere on polands diplomatic relations. They are not allied. France has not guaranteed them, heck they don't even have military access or conditional military access together. So I'm confused as to why my ally France wont join me and will instead fight for my enemy PolaND.

Yeah I literally just thought of that. I can't check now, but I'm 99% certain that's it. I only checked a few nations and I think they happened to be catholic. *Sigh* France whyd you have to go and do something stupid like that?

Just call France as an ally into a different war against some minor, then declare on Poland.
