Why wasn't Victoria issued in Germany yesterday

Every new game the same story: (Only the name of the publishers changed from Blackstar to Koch-Media)

German publishers of Paradox-Games never meet their delivery date, they never fullfill their obligations against their customers.

As customer you are forced to buy an import-version, if you don't want to be a latecomer.
It is not enjoyable not to be able join a MP with your friends, just because the publisher is not in a position to deliver in time.

As german customer you are always taken for a ride, first issue date is 26th november, then it is 3rd december, now, this are latest news, it ist 17th december. No chance to buy it for x-mas in time not to mention test it before given away as a gift.

Please look for an unimpeachable publisher in future, the ones you have now aren't worth a penny.

Unfortunately there is a delay but it is not of KOCH Media's making. The production has been delayed for various reasons.

Hey guys cheer up . On the 26 they said at Amazon it would take them2-3 days to deliver, suddenly they removed it like I did my order, this morning I started ordering it at Koch Media, and if they tell me it takes a while, I'll say go to Joysoft, and buy for a few bugs more the game . If I had known all this on time I would play the game already, but I wasn't willing to pay 15 bugs for one week ahead, but now....

I live in north america and still cant get the game much over a week sinse it was realesed.

Interesting that most other games made it in time despite these "fun new german laws"...

And, yes: Cheer up, boys! The German version of HoI was published four months after the English version.

For Victoria we're down to one month after the other peeps (*) and two months after the pirates.

(*) Those who were intelligent enough not to trust the various release dates and bought the import version.

Uhm, sorry, Johan, the age rating (the same that movies, for example, go through) was done weeks ago. According to German community member Daiq, Softunity cites "a production bottleneck" as the cause of the delay.

I had hoped to have a nice boxed version this weekend or next, but now it'll have to wait till shortly before christmas. Alas.

Well, if this was the reason for the delay, then I would still blame Koch media for not checking the laws in time, which they should know anyway due to their releases of other games.

I ordered an import version now although it´s quite expensive, but in fact I doubt that the German version appears before 2004.

This "new" law is in use since April 2003, so Kochmedia should have enough time to prepare. The age rating was done long ago, like sytass said. In all german onlinestores you can see the rating.

I had ordered the game here in France, and was going to receive it ...
Today, a few minutes ago, the seller mailed me that the editor of the game in France (Nobilis) has posponed the stuff to January.

Has someone, in any country, been able to buy that game yet ?
Same question, to the Paradox guys: is it you that posponed the game ?

I know that the game is already published in Sweden and the US. Maybe Canada, but i don´t know exactly.

The game has been released in North America (Canada/U.S.) by Strategy First and in Scandinavia by PanVision. The hold up is not because of Paradox.

German version of Vicky will be in stores this week Thursday or Friday. Kochmedia startet the shipping of the game to the big outlets like "Saturn" or "Media Markt" today. And we get an new reason for the delay: The delay is caused because of a few little changes at the game from Paradox site. Will we get version 1.02???

My game-shop in munich www.pcfun.de/content.php?qi=come says, that the new release date is the 08. January 2004.
