Only reason I can see is raising their diplomacy and intrigue. Girls often have high intrigue to start with, so they make great spymasters when they reach adulthood. :D

IMO though, you should be able to make women religious rulers (bishop-rank, but not archbishops or Popes). Abbesses often held quite a bit of power and lands.

Church education gives 2 diplomacy points and 1 intrigue points, so church education is good if you have a girl with a knack for diplomacy/intrigue. It's not very useful but at least it adds a choice... perhaps it affects character interaction or something as well.

Can you give just one example of woman-bishop in Medieval Europe?

It also increases the girl's piety.

As for "female bishops", or even abbesses, there have never been female rulers with a scope of power corresponding that of "Prince Bishops" - i.e. lands held by abbesses were never large enough to constitute a county in CK terms.

I suppose there could be an event for old enough, unmarried females with church education to be appointed "abbesses" by their brothers/sons in exchange for money. Such event would perhaps give the appointer some Piety and effectively remove ("kill") the prospective abbess from the game. What does everyone think?

That's actually a rather good idea. Would provide one more option for the daughters of the dynasty.

Appointing women to be abbesses should give you piety just like appointing a diocese bishop - without the possibility of becoming pope of course. Make some of those women useful as well as add a more historical feeling to the game.
