All right I played as Austria and had +200 relations with hungary and military alliance same religion and marriage but they still didn't wanted to be vassals and I even had better stats. What should I do? The same thing happened with Saxony.

I had the same problem vassalizing Hungary as Austria, it took me until 1740 for them to say yes  . Saxony also declined to be vassalized by my Austria. I had a similar problem with Brittany in a France game, after they broke vassalization for the second time, I turned the might of the French army upon them and took 2 of their provinces, this tought them a lesson in humility and they(or what was left of them :D ) were revassalized and diploannexed 10 years later. Other than that, keeping asking and it may help to trade maps to teach them of terrirotorial majesty ;) .

Your country must be bigger than the potential vassal. Also, increase the your soldiers number and put them at the hungarian borders. Should help.

Edit: check your ruler's diplomacy value. The highest is the better.

Not so long ago, when I swithed from the GC to the IGC, I noticed that vassalisation for most countries became a lot tougher. So this could also play a part in your vassalisation problem.

BTW: I like this 'improvement' because vassalisation was way to easy in the old GC.

I doubt so I have 'old GC' and I never vassalized anyone using 1.1 patch.

Mmmmh, must be the patch then... :eek:o didn't use any patches at all when playing the GC, just the basic software. When I installed the IGC I also installed the latest patch (1.10).

I don't know. I think vassalization works fine. I've toyed with Austria today and managed to diploannex Saxony, Bavaria, Bohemia and Hungary in short order. I loaded up on troops at the border and this seemed to help me and the fact Karl is all kinds of a great diplomat. I laughed when he took over and his traits were diplomat, diplomat, diplomat. :D

I've started an Austrian GC, and managed to vassalize and then dipannex Bavaria, Bohemia, Hungary, Milan, and Venice. Having turned off the forced annexation option, I'm far and away the bad boy in 1600, even though I've yet to be involved in any wars.

Be aware, if the target country has troops outside their border, they're likely to say no. The same goes if you're BB rating recently increased. Going the diplomatic route takes a lot of patience (although I can walk away from my computer and let it run through a month or two :) ).

My philosophy: get good relations, RM, trade maps etc, then make yourself very fierce looking and ask for vassalization. If they say no, try again. If they say no and break the RM or something, I conquer them. Simple as that :)
