Playing as the USSR. I've started from a saved 'start' more than once and each time Germany waits to attack Poland until the winter of 1939 / 1940. Why ?
Winter campaigns are launched for one of two reasons, either because time is short and operations can't be delayed until better weather, or the operation must be conducted without air superiority. In 1939 Germany has the initiative, it has air superiority over Poland and the weather is unlikely to interfere with operations and logistics.. Why invade in Winter, unless this is a dysfunction of the focus system.
