To be serious, Russia is close to Sweden and Snowball has very good relations with Paradox (as you know, they are making Crusader Kings together)

I'm not sure we promoted slavery, merely profited from it, but its clear that you missed the sarcastic nature of my earlier post.
To hop back on-topic, Russia were supposed to get the game at exactly the same time as several other places. They got lucky and shipped on time while other companies dropped the ball and had to delay. Like many places they won't be getting their official translated version until early next year.
Because Snowball is more efficient than SF and other publishers I guess, which bodes well for CK
Judging from the translated posts that have been put up here, the Russian version that is available now doesn't have a manual. Snowball must have decided to do without for the time being.
Come on comrades, the early release in Russia actually means our players will put together a comprehensive testing list by the time your version ships -- and you will have a better and earlier patch that way!
Re: versions & manual... What we did release is English version for the core community, and true it has no manual. The Russian version -- with manual, etc. -- that will cover not only our core fans but also all the players all over the Siberian plain, is coming out February 2003. There is a LOT of content to translate in the game, especially because it is so hist-content-sensitive and you need to tanslate and consult at the same time.
