So I started a game as Poland and it has been one of the most fun nations to play in EU like ever... The unique events and the unique government give Poland a special flavor, you feel you are governing a true country not a uniform blob... Especially having to play for a long time at low legitimacy while also westernizing was very tricky but extremely rewarding.
The most fun moment so far has been to have had a Habsburg come to power, with subsequent events strengthening the alliance with Austria. While at war together against Hungary, the Danish succession war happens: I lead a PU with Denmark and Austria challenges it. The whole Habsburg union falls off right away as the 2 Habsburg countries go to war over war torn Denmark (had just lost a major war to Sweden). I'm losing but I notice France now loves me, I ally France, France joins, I win. In the span of one year Austria goes from being best friend to being enemy. Crazy.
The low legitimacy coupled with low initial missionary strength makes for a real struggle to keep the Ruthenian lands as it should be.
For this I think in next DLCs most major nations should have their unique mechanics similar to Poland: the 3 states for France, the Millets for Ottomans, etc.
