So I noticed that Japan now starts off with the puppet state of Mengkukuo. My question is why is Mengkukuo, a small puppet formed in 1939 exists, but Manchukuo, a puppet formed before 1936 is excluded from the game?
Some people thought (though I'm not sure if the Devs ever confirmed or said it) it was because the Japan AI simply could not properly handle defending Manchukuo, or that it caused issues. If that is true, then why is Mengkukuo fine? Would it not cause issues as well? And more so, I think it feels really out of place and inconsistent to have Mengkukuo but not Manchukuo.
