Why is there no option for blood eagle !

My former liege killed my father and now i finally have him imprisoned took the kingdom and felt blood eagle was all he deserved, but there is no option for it sadly

with the new torture feature added in i assumed blood eagle would be a shoe in.

also just noticed you can recruit prisoners, just got me a new marshal

The blood eagle appear, but as a form of execution. Some of the characters i have executed in my norse game were "carved into a blood eagle"

The tortures are kind of generic so far... and mutilations are just for "Cruel" characters

But Blood eagle is a form of execution (sadly the executions are chosen randomly)

I do not know why they decided to run with at the end when it is quite likely that it never happened in the first place.

I guess the series Vikings is that popular.

I just saw this topic in another thread, apparently the execution methods are random but the weightings are heavily influenced by culture, religion and region. For example, norse_pagan and norse_pagan_reformed get a big extra weighting for blood eagle, while anyone living in India gets a bonus weight for "bamboo", whatever that is (I shudder to think).

Having full choice WOULD be nice, but there are LOTS of options so maybe impractical.

I meant in game, purely from a what button to push to find it point of view.
Execute Kills them
Torture does not, immediately at least, your end results may vary with time.

Blood Eagle is 100% fatal so best to look for it by pushing the execution button when Norse Germanic Pagan

Well to be honest, I don't think the Blood Eagle was an actual custom. There's only a few sources describing it, and in all cases, the execution is dealt to someone of royal blood. It was most likely a very rare type of execution.

I Hate to be one of the complainers as I'm really enjoying TRD, but I do wish when you execute someone they got a trait on how they were execute instead of a boring text.

I remember seeing a mod where you could give someone someone the "Blood Eagle" and dead they would get that trait. I thought with TRD with get something akin to that, but sadly......

exactly it fits my current situation, the king of denmark imprisoned my father, and my father died in his prison.
years later I, his son avenge my fathers death and usurp the kingdom and now want to performblood eagle on the former king and murderer of my father.

would have been a great story. but it turns out the former king likes me now and is old, so i just left him
